After the ascention of Christ, Apostles and the primitive Christian Church acknowledged baptism as the rite by which persons are admitted to communion with the church (Acts 2:38, 41, 8:12, 36, 38, 9:18, 10:47; 16:15, 33, 18:8, 22:16, Rom. 6:3; I Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:27).
The apostles were specifically instructed to baptize in the Name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost. (Matt. 28:19). We, therefore, believe that we should use the formula given us by Christ for all baptism; In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Adult baptism must be preceeded by a profession of faith (St. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:41; 8:41; 8:37; 16:31-33).
It must be understood that we do not believe in baptizing infants or young children because the condition of salvation hinges on one's ability to believe in Christ Jesus as his personal Savior.
